Frayser-Raleigh Inaugural Christmas Parade December 6

On Saturday December 6, 2008, Frayser and Raleigh community partners, led by the Frayser Community Advisory Committee, will host the first Frayser-Raleigh Christmas Parade. The parade will be routed from Trezevant High School North to Frayser Blvd, West on Frayser Blvd, then North on Overton Crossing to end at Promise Land Church.

Organizers are asking participants and viewers to bring canned goods and nonperishable food items to place at collection sites along the parade route. The food items will be used to create food baskets for disadvantaged families in the Frayser and Raleigh area. The parade will consist of several participating schools, bands and area businesses. Immediately following the parade, will be a bicycle giveaway and Christmas Carols by local choirs.
