Former Memphis Congressman Harold Ford Jr. created quite a frenzy after reports got out that he wants to be governor of Tennessee.
Republican Bill Frist, who was succeeded by Bob Corker for the Senate seat in last year’s election, has announced that he is also interested in running for governor. The governor’s race will not take place until 2010.
Harold Ford Jr. could not be reached today to respond to the alleged comment.
