Firefighters Making Progress With California Blazes

As the blazes continued to spread, Southern Californians keep their spirits high, by being thankful for their lives and their families. Over the past few days, blazes of fire have burned across the Southern California region and though there has been reports of progress, the situation still remains very threatening.

Authorities have now increased its reward offer, from $100,000 to $285,000, for tips leading to the arrest for what authorities say was an arsonist or a group of arsonists who started this devastating fire tragedy which has caused several deaths and an outstanding range of damage. Reports state that there was a white F150 Ford truck near the scene prior to the fire taking place and anyone which any information are encouraged to contact authorities.

Firefighters have continued to battle the threats of the ferocious fires that caused more than a half-million people to evacuate their homes. Over 50 firefighters have suffered injuries, and about 30 civilians have been reported hurt.

Over 12,000 people have taken shelter in evacuation centers in the area and thousands more have occupied hotels expanding from San Diego to Los Angeles.

The estimated costs of these fires are at $1 billion in San Diego County alone.
