However, though Crunchy Black had fans long-awaiting a solo album, many may not have heard about this album due to lack of marketing or poor marketing of the album.
An article on MemphisRap.com revealed not more than 3 months ago that Crunchy Blac was no longer with Three 6 Mafia now Crunchy Blac, again former latest member of Three 6 Mafia, has seemed to have released his long awaited solo debut entitled “On My Own” this past Tuesday, September 19, 2006. However, though Crunchy Black had fans long-awaiting a solo album, many may not have heard about this album due to lack of marketing or poor marketing of the album. Is this due to Crunchy no longer being with Three 6 Mafia, is it a simple optimistic mistake, is no one investing in the former Three 6 Mafia member or is this not the actual Crunchy Black album that Crunchy Blac planned to release after leaving Three 6 Mafia?
Once again, remember, we all have heard the news, either on MemphisRap.com or somewhere else, but it seems strange that the rapper would leave Three 6 Mafia then release an album featuring Three 6 Mafia such as on the song “Your Hood” which features Juicy J. You’ll also notice that on the “On My Own” album cover it has the words Triple Six Mafia presents”. Is this somewhat strange to you also or is this an old folk lesson to “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover!”
