Man Shoots For Texting During Movie Kills 1

A man in Florida has shot a woman and killed a man at a movie theater during a movie showing for Mark Whalberg’s latest film “Lone Survivor,” which has a storyline about a failed 2007 Navy Seal raid in Afghanistan.

According to reports, the man became angry with two couples who allegedly interrupted his movie due to one of them possibly click clacking on their phone and key pads as he tried to prepare for the film.

The man, identified as 71-year-old retired police officer and captain, Curtis Reeves, had got into an argument with Chad Oulson after his attempts to seek assistance failed with his issue with those texting during the movie.

Reportedly the victim, Chad Oulson, was on his phone and was believed to have been texting and making up some sort of noise and this led the two into a dispute.

During the altercation, the suspect pulled out a .380 [caliber gun] and shot the victim and then allegedly fired another shot which struck the victim’s wife, Nicole Oulson.

According to an eyewitness, Chad Oulson told Reeves he was texting his 3 year-old daughter when he pulled his gun on him.

Reeves was detained by an off-duty Sumter County deputy who was at the theater until police arrived at the Cobb CineBistro at Grove 16 Theatre in Wesley Chapel outside of Tampa.

Curtis Reeves has been charged with second-degree murder.
