I recently attended the Yo Gotti meet and greet / listening party put on by Hunter Promotions at the top of the luxurious 33rd floor of the Clark Tower in East Memphis. This was an exclusive event for DJ’s and media to listen and get more info regarding Yo Gotti’s upcoming mixtape ‘Cocaine Muzik 6 (CM6)’ and meet with the rapper.
When first walking in, I was greeted with the bling of a ‘King of Memphis’ ice sculpture, the Hunter Promotions street team and a ‘hella’ cool panoramic view of the city of Memphis. The vibe was good with the DJ playing Yo Gotti throwbacks, free drinks/food and the Memphis who’s who of the music scene. Everyone from Skewby, Amber Kitrell, Hunter Promotions, DJ 007, Joe Gotti, DJ Howard Q and the whole Yo Gotti team including Leo Goff (producer) and artist Zed Zilla were in attendance and showing support. There was even an I&E and CM6 ice sculpture carved out and on display to help represent the artist!
MemphisRap.com videographer, Isaiah Conyers, captured both Zed Zilla and Yo Gotti in an exclusive video interview which will be posted soon. Yo Gotti talks about the new release of his mixtape ‘Cocaine Muzik 6,’ his highly anticipated major album debut ‘Live from the Kitchen’ and spoke about what’s next for I&E and even gave some advice for aspiring artists.
Zed Zilla, in his interview with MemphisRap.com, spoke about his collaboration with Yo Gotti, his upcoming projects and gave his thoughts on the state of hip-hop in Memphis today.
Check the videos out and, as always, stay up with MemphisRap.com for more exclusive interviews and more!
