This Saturday June 16th, the Memphis Music Commission sets the stage for the next generation of Memphis Hip Hop at the Hard Rock Cafe on Beale.
Memphis Music Commission has planned an afternoon of amazing performances by some of Memphis Hip Hop’s next generation performers.
Blazing the stage will be rapper and hip hop dancer D3, rapper Lil Chris, The Lucie E. Campbell Elementary School Steppers, Kaylon and the Hickory Hill Baptist Church Step Team!
Memphis Music Commission’s Generation Next is described as “a youth based initiative dedicated to keeping the Legacy of Memphis Music alive through education and creative expression.”
The Memphis Music Commission sponsored program targets students who are interested in music and the performing arts.
Through a variety of public performances, students gain exposure, learn appreciation for various musical genres and styles, as well as how to manage artist appearances, develop group synergy, discipline and respect for fellow musicians.
