This year’s 19th Annual Juneteenth Celebration in Memphis, TN is underway. The 2012 Juneteenth Freedom and Heritage Festival, which started Friday, June 15 has already hosted performances and other events and has more in store for this Father’s Day Weekend.
The 2012 Juneteenth Freedom and Heritage Festival is being held June 15 – June 17 at the Frederick Douglass named Douglass Park located behind Douglass High School on the north side of Memphis, Tennessee.
The event celebrates everything from culture to education to music and more.
June 14 was a day of honoring education as Juneteenth saluted educators at the Hilton Hotel.
The Under The Stars Festival of Juneteenth celebrates music ranging from Gospel, Jazz, Reggae to R&B and Hip Hop.
During Juneteenth Memphis weekend, there’s also a Battle of The Bands Show, Car & Bike Show, Professional Wrestling, Juneteenth Youth Talent Showcase and more.
