I hate to say I told you so, but looks like Alex Rodriguez will be a Yankee for the 2008 season. As of today, (Nov. 15) A-Rod is in talks with the Yankees, without the backing of his agent, Scott Boras. The award-winning slugger released a statement that he and his wife have a foundation in New York that have brought them comfort, stability, and (dare I say?) happiness.

San Diego Padres right hander Jake Peavy received much-deserved acclamation on today as he was unanimously voted as the National League Cy Young Award recipient. Peavy lead the league in wins, strikeouts, and earned win average for the 2007 season.
