Dennis Rodman is making headlines for a rant that the former NBA star and friend of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un had during an interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo.
Chris Cuomo asked Rodman about the imprisoned American Kenneth Bae, who is being held in North Korean on a 15 year hard labor jail sentence, accused of trying to devise plans to overthrow the North Korean government.
Rodman, who is in North Korea for a basketball game with other former NBA players (considered a birthday present for his friend Kim Jong Un), was asked by Cuomo will he take his visit in North Korea as an opportunity to speak up for the family of Kenneth Bae.
Rodman reacted defensively and at one point seemed to have accused Kenneth Bae saying, “Kenneth Bae did one thing, do you understand what he did in this country?”
Rodman ranted at Cuomo further for not considering the sacrifice that he and the other former NBA players were making by being in North Korea to play the game as a birthday present for Kim Jong Un.
