Delta Museum Receives $200,000 Grant

The B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretative Center was awarded a grant for $200,000 from the Foundation for the Mid South.

The Foundation for the Mid South is a community foundation that works with three southern states, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Louisiana. It dedicated its program to help strengthen non-profit organizations like the B.B. King Museum.

Ann Shackleford, the museum’s communications director, says the grant will greatly help support the museum’s overall goal.

The Delta Museum is one of the oldest museums in the Mid South, which houses artifacts from different eras of history. Other than a museum, it is also a leading landfill for community development.
