Keyshia Cole’s husband Daniel ‘Boobie’ Gibson, NBA professional basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers, was arrested and charged with battery after punching a man in a nightclub in New Orleans, which was linked to the Essence Music Festival.

Gibson, who plays for the the Cleveland Cavaliers, tells TMZ that he punched the guy for insulting his wife in a profane way after approaching her after her performance.

Gibson allegedly punched the man so hard that he allegedly broke his jaw.

Daniel Gibson, 27, actually surrendered himself at the New Orleans Police Department after the altercation and was processed at Orleans Parish Prison.

Gibson posted a bond and was released a short time later.
