After being delayed an hour due to the rain, Three 6 Mafia finished shooting the video for their new single “Lil Freak” f/ Webbie. Beginning at 10am (Aug. 20, 2009) Juicy J did his solo thing at the New Daisy on Beale in Downtown Memphis, TN. The next location for the shoot was at the house on St. Paul St. in South Memphis where D-Jay lived in the movie “Hustle & Flow” written and directed by Craig Brewer.
Fellow Memphis artists Joe Gotti & Mac E along with legendary DJ’s Spanish Fly & Boogaloo showed their support by making an appearance. On to the third locale on the corners of Mississippi & Vance dozens of spectators began shutting down the block as Three 6 did their thing.
Later, at the Pyramid, hundreds of fans poured in showin their love along with some of the cleanest whips in the M! Artists such as V-Slash, Project Pat, Lil Wyte, Taco & Da Mofos, Muck Sticky and many others showed their support as well. It’s nice to see Memphis artists together and not beefin but that’s another story!
