Chingy returning with third album, ‘Hoodstar’

The St. Louis rapper Chingy’s is returning with his third album entitled “Hoodstar” on Slot-A-Lot/Capitol following 2004’s PowerBallin which sold more than 593,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album features Three 6 Mafia on “Club Gettin’ Crowded,” Jermaine Dupri on “Dem Jeans,” Mannie Fresh on “Brand New Kicks,” and Mr Collipark on “U A Freak (Nasty Girl)”.

The lead single “Pullin’ Me Back” featuring Tyrese is currently No. 5 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart climbing from last week’s No. 12 position.
