Black Friday Deals ‘Shopping Rage,’ Female Shopper Pepper Sprays Over XBox

There might be a recession going on but it surely hasn’t seemed to stop countless businesses from advertising special deals on the day we all know as Black Friday, the day following Thanksgiving which officially kicks off the Christmas shopping season in the United States.

Along with Black Friday deals, also comes along with some scuffles here and there between anxious shoppers aiming to grab the best deals before they’re gone.

Earlier today, headlines ran of one shopper in Los Angeles who pepper sprayed her competition for an XBox game causing even more scuffles to break out in the crowd of desperate shoppers. At least 10 people were reportedly injured during the pepper spray confrontation.

Police are still looking for the pepper spraying shopper.

Meanwhile, across the nation, Black Friday deals having started just about everywhere in the U.S. including Memphis, TN where retail chains such as Walmart, Target, Lowes, Best Buy, Guitar Center and others are trying to draw shoppers with some of their best deals all year.

Walmart is pricing 32 inch TV’s starting at $188, Lowes is pricing 6 ft ladders starting at $19, Guitar Center is offering 15% discount on musical equipment, so the deals are very competitive but do people really have the money to spend during a recession?

Well only time will tell when the numbers of spending comes out across the U.S.

For now, experts are claiming they are suspecting a “record number of shoppers” at stores across the country this weekend alone. The days following Black Friday, are expected to draw 152 million shoppers, which is about 10 percent more than last year, according to the National Retail Federation.

Some retailers even kicked out special deals for Black Friday a day before, which led businesses across the U.S. to stay open on Thanksgiving Day and night, 24 hours.

This caused many families to go without spending as much time with each other and/or forced many to organize their schedule to both shop and work during Thanksgiving.
