Beyonce Reflects On Whitney Houston, Following Blue Ivy Photos; Funeral Set

Whitney Houston was an inspiration to people across the globe including to stars such as Beyonce Knowles.

Beyonce Knowles who gave birth to her new baby girl Blue Ivy with her husband, rapper and businessman Jay-Z (Shawn Carter) spoke on remembering Whitney Houston, just days after releasing the first photos of baby Blue Ivy.

Whitney Houston was described as person with confidence, poise, beauty, intelligence, sincerity and kindness by Beyonce, according to MusiqQueen.com.

Beyonce even spoke on remembering the singer when she was 15 and how the death of the music icon was painful.

The pop singer, actress, model and mother, Whitney Houston, who died on February 12, 2012, will be laid to rest on Saturday, February 18, 2012.

The legendary singer died over the weekend, one day shy of the Grammy Awards from an unknown cause as she was in the bathtub at the Beverly Hilton hotel. The singer was getting ready for the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy party at the same hotel prior to her death.

While still out on the New Edition tour near Memphis, husband Bobby Brown was taking the news quite hard and barely could make it through a tribute to his ex-wife during his concert, he so admirably managed to finish, as reported on MemphisRap.com.

According to the funeral home, Whigham Funeral Home in Newark, the funeral will be taking place at the New Hope Baptist Church where the singer got her start. New Hope Baptist Church is the same church where her mother Grammy-winning gospel singer Cissy Houston directed the music program and where cousin Dionne Warwick sung in the choir. Meanwhile, no memorial has been planned for the singer.

Houston’s body was delivered to her hometown of New Jersey on Monday after an autopsy took place on Sunday.

Currently, Whitney Houston’s cause of death hasn’t been revealed as the coroner awaits toxicology reports, which could take weeks.
