Rapper and Philadelphia native Beanie Sigel has auditioned for the lead role in the film version of the Notorius B.I.G. biography.

In an interview with MTV Beanie stated, “The fact that I’m a huge Big fan from the gate is why I did it. Then taking myself outside of myself and looking back, who else better to play that role, man?”

Although Beanie does have some acting credits, there are other candidates for the part that the movie studio is taking into consideration.
