Andre 3000 “Andre Benjamin” of the Altanta based group Outkast is reported to be taking on the acting role as legendary singer, tap dancer and musician Sammy Davis Jr.
Famed writer Sam Kashner of Vanity Fair who followed the ordeal, will be working with his wife Nancy Schoenberger on the screenplay, while the movie will be produced by music video director Earle Sebastian and Damon Dash.
In related news, the hip-hop star was stated as saying that if his music career ever fails he wishes to become an art teacher.
“I know I won’t be always be on top in music. New sounds come along. New people, and you get older, it’s that simple, that’s the nature of it,” he says.
“So I always felt that maybe I could go and be a teacher when it ends. Not a music teacher, though. I’d wanna be an art teacher. I could control a classroom full of kids, oh yeah, no problem. I got the touch.”
