Alexis Grace Booted Off American Idol, Says ‘Sorry, Tennessee’

Alexis Grace, in a shocking moment of American Idol, was booted off the television show after being labeled one of the most talented of the finalists. Alexis Grace, 21, from Memphis, Tennessee was eliminated from the American Idol’s final 12 after Wednesday’s shocking results showed she had the lowest number of audience votes after her TV performance of Dolly Parton’s song “Jolene.”

Alexis Grace, a stay-at-home mom and part-time staffer at the Memphis Music Foundation, was accepted onto American Idol after auditioning in Louisville, Kentucky with the song Doctor Feelgood by Motley Crue and was later compared to Kelly Clarkson by judge Simon Cowell. Grace had auditioned twice previously for American Idol, without making it onto the show.

A report on the Miami Herald website refers to Alexis Grace as “the season’s most gifted contestant” and goes on to say that “the judges foolishly didn’t use their one-time-only Save option” and it was a “shame” that they didn’t. “Idol’s left with a weak Top 10,” the reports adds.

At a teleconference on Thursday Grace, reportedly, stated that she felt like she let down her state of Tennessee.

Well, as one of the 12 most talented finalists of American Idol, this is surely not the last we have heard of the graceful and talented upcoming singer as she plans to still pursue her singing career.
