Memphis rap legend Al Kapone and Hustle & Flow actor & soundtrack producer/writer will be a part of the 13th anniversary of the anti-crime march in Jackson.

Memphis rap legend Al Kapone and Hustle & Flow actor & soundtrack producer/writer will be a part of the 13th anniversary of the anti-crime march in Jackson. Al Kapone will be performing at the event and will speak on keeping youth from violence after the march ends.

Out of respect Kapone has promised community activists that he will not use any explicit language nor any negative remarks toward the police department during his visit.

The 13th anniversary of the Jackson anti-crime marches will begin at 4:30 p.m. Friday September 22, 2006 with a march starting from the Allenton Heights Housing Complex and ending at the Jackson Police Department. Anyone looking to attend is asked to park their cars at the Carl Perkins Civic Center and get a free bus ride to Allenton Heights. For more information about the march, call 731-423-4848.
