The story first broke by TMZ of actress Singer Brandy’s involvement in a wreck on a Los Angeles freeway on December 30, 2006 seems to now be coming home to haunt the once TV and Music sensation.
The California Highway Patrol has recommended that singer-actress Brandy be prosecuted for misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter.
“The office is currently reviewing the case and determining whether the evidence warrants the filing of a misdemeanor charge of vehicular manslaughter,” spokesman Nick Velasquez said.
Brandy Rayana Norwood, 27, was driving a Land Rover on Interstate 405 on Dec. 30 when traffic slowed and her vehicle struck the back of a Honda driven by Awatef Aboudihaj, 38, according to a CHP report.
It is believed Brandy may have been drinking, driving too fast (at around 65 miles per hour) and may be completely at fault when her vehicle crashed into the back of the allegedly victim triggering a four car crash.
Brandy starred from 1996 until 2001 in the popular television sitcom Moesha, in which she played the lead character, a popular teenager in school and most recently, has been one of three judges on the TV reality show America’s Got Talent.
