In a scary story in Delaware, a 4 year-old girl was discovered handing out bags of heroin to classmates at a daycare center thinking it was candy.
Authorities claim they responded to a day care center in Selbyville, Delaware after day care workers discovered children had small bags of a substance that they weren’t sure what exactly it was.
Authorities tested the unknown substance and discovered that it was heroin.
Police arrested Ashley Tull, the 30 year-old mother of the 4 year-old, who brought the heroin to school in a backpack.
Tull reportedly gave the girl the backpack after her regular backpack was ruined by a family pet.
The child assumed the bags were little packets of candy and passed them out to her classmates.
A total of 249 bags were reportedly stuffed in the little girl’s backpack.
Children were taken to the hospital and examined and fortunately there were no reports of children consuming any of the bags or left harmed after examinations.
The mother, who also has two other children, a 9 year-old boy and 11 year-old girl, was released on a $6,000 bond while her children, who she cannot make contact with is in the custody of a relative.
