Fifteen former FedEx employees were indicted for stealing mail packages at the FedEx Worldwide Hub in Memphis, TN which took place in 2011.
The suspects accused of stealing at the location range in the ages of 20 to 50.
The suspects stole a number of items from U.S. Mail Express Mail packages and letters which included gift cards, cash in greeting cards and marijuana.
Argle Williamson, 22, was charged with two counts of theft of mail and one count of obstruction of correspondence for stealing marijuana and $6,940 in cash.
The oldest in the bunch, Deborah Belcher, 50, was charged with four counts of theft of mail.
FedEx responded to the indictment by releasing a statement stating, “FedEx has zero tolerance for criminal activity and regards the security of our customer shipments a top priority. We regularly work with law enforcement authorities around the world to insure our customers’ interests are protected.”
All fifteen face jail time, with each count carrying a possible sentence of up to five years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000.

Deborah J. Belcher, 50, Memphis, TN – Charged with four counts of theft of mail. Accused of stealing items which included Target gift cards and Wal-Mart gift cards.

Andre’ Smith, 23, Memphis, TN – Charged with two counts of theft of mail and one count of obstruction of correspondence. Accused of stealing money totaling up to $2,111, items, marijuana, and opened, detained or destroyed mail.
Rodney Jones II, 22, Memphis, TN – Charged with two counts of theft of mail. Accused of stealing money, items and marijuana.
Marshall Allen McKinney, 24, Bolivar, TN – Charged with one count of theft of mail and one count of obstruction of correspondence. Accused of stealing money, items, marijuana and opened, detained or destroyed mail.
Gene Albert May, 26, Memphis, TN – Charged with one count of theft of mail. Accused of stealing money from greeting cards and retail gift cards.
Harry Deshon Johnson, 26, Memphis TN – Charged with three counts of obstruction of correspondence. Allegedly opened, detained or destroyed mail.
Davious Montrez Hewlett, 23, Memphis, TN – Charged with one count of theft of mail. Accused of stealing money from greeting cards and retail gift cards.
Kityra Jeami Pirtle, 32, Memphis, TN – Charged with one count of theft of mail. Accused of stealing money from greeting cards.
Charles Curtis Sangster, Jr., 32, Memphis, TN – Charged with one count of theft of mail. Accused of stealing money from greeting cards.
Marcus Wesley Shaw, 30, Memphis, TN – Charged with one count of theft of mail. Accused of stealing money from greeting cards and retail gift cards.
Janell Letrise Phillips, 22, Memphis, TN – Charged with one count of theft of mail. Accused of stealing money from greeting cards.
David Whitman Geer, 45, Olive Branch, MS – Charged with one count of obstruction of correspondence. Allegedly opened, detained or destroyed mail.
Robert Deneral Hughes, 22, Memphis, TN – Charged with one count of theft of mail. Accused of stealing money from greeting cards.
Christopher Cory Westbrooks, 26, Memphis, TN – Charged with one count of obstruction of correspondence. Allegedly opened, detained or destroyed mail.
