Memphis, Tennessee – Monday, September 5, 2005 at the FedEx Forum is supposed to be the date and place to be if you think you got what it takes to be the next American Idol and follow in the footsteps of Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia Burino, and Carrie Underwood. Or maybe just have the chance at 1st, 2nd or 3rd place fame like the performers Idol refers to simply as ‘The Best of the Rest’ such as Clay Aiken, Justin Guarini, Bo Bice or the Idol known only by her first name, yes, we’re talking about Memphis’ own Trenyce. Auditions will take place all day and it is sure to bring out the talent and the non-talent alike as we have all become accustom to seeing on the popular television show hosted by Ryan Seacrest with star judges Paula Abdul, Simone Cowell and Randy Jackson.
Oh yeah, if a musical talent doesn?t give those their ?big break? in American Idol, then maybe those with acting talents and other talents alike will do better. The opportunity to be one of 350 extras or crew members in the next Craig Brewer’s movie titled “Black Snake Moan”, his sophomore flick to Hustle & Flow, starring the one and only Samuel Jackson starts September 12, 2005 at the Pyramid.
