Contrary to initial reports, female rapper Remy Ma, born Reminisce Smith, has not been released from jail where she is serving an 8 year sentence.
According to police documents, the rapper has an earliest release date of today (July 31) which would leave her serving six and a half years of her sentence.
Though reports say she is already out, the female rapper’s release has been delayed actually due to a disciplinary issue, according to reports.
Though the expected release date is seemingly July 31, contradictory to that, the documents also have Remy Ma’s parole eligibility and conditional release date as January 31, 2015.
According to REVOLT however, authorities at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility, where Remy Ma is being held, are delaying her release until they get a response on an incident which possibly involved the rapper in some way.
