EXCLUSIVE: MemphisRapTV interviews Rapper Haystak backstage; Talks new albums, more

MemphisRapTV recently caught up with rapper Haystak backstage at his concert performance at the New Daisy Theatre in downtown Memphis, TN. Haystak revealed in the exclusive interview with MemphisRap.com’s DeAnna Brown that though his home is in Nashville, his career happened for him in Memphis.

“It’s good to be in Memphis, back in the M Town, where they jumped my career off with the radio play.. and really got me started moving.. in the direction I was trying to go in,” stated Haystak. “A lot of people think it happened for me in Nashville but it didn’t happen, it was Memphis that blew me up.” Haystak also reveals the title of not one, not two, but three albums he’s working on: “Easy To Hate,” “Clingin To Life,” “Classical.” “They’re pretty much all self descriptive,” stated Haystak to MemphisRapTV. “‘Clingin To Life’ is about the digital download piracy thing. ‘Easy To Hate’ speaks for itself, and ‘Classical’.. I hope it’ll be the best album I’ve ever made,” he added. During the interview Haystak also addressed a recent prank call he received from rapper Kingpin Skinny Pimp over his live webcam channel. “Shout out to 8Ball, shout out to MJG, shout out to Yo Gotti, shout out to big Peppa ‘Mouth of the South’ Promotions, Gangsta Blac, Skinny Pimp ‘F*ck you for prank calling me the other day,” jokes Haystak regarding Skinny Pimp‘s live prank. The rapper goes on to give more credit where credit is due, as he prepared to hit the stage for his live concert performance.
