Memphis’s own Rampage Jackson was pulled over last night in California after a hit and run accident he was the cause of; being that Rampage drives a huge truck with his face and logo on the side, It wasn’t too hard for the police to spot him. After a 5-minute chase, he finally surrendered and was approached at gunpoint and was placed face down on the sidewalk. He was booked at Orange County and charged with a series of hit and runs, reckless driving and evading arrest. More charges may be added.
There is no word whether he was under the influence at all. Bail has been set at $25,000.
Rampage just recently lost his light heavyweight title in the UFC to Forrest Griffin. He and Forrest had been on the last season of The Ultimate Fighter together as opponent coaches. A lot of people in Memphis support Rampage to the fullest, by throwing ” Welcome Home” parties and crowding together at local bars to watch him fight. Rampage and his father are also involved with charity work and building new churches in the Memphis area.
