What’s Up Doc, Got that Purple Drank? West Memphis Doctor Under Investigation

A federal drug raid happened at an Arkansas doctor’s office where federal drug agents believed the mix of drugs that make the ‘purple drank’ or ‘sizzurp’ or ‘purple hulk’ were being supplied.

You may have heard the songs “Sippin On Syrup” by Three 6 Mafia featuring Project Pat and UGK or maybe even “Purple Drank” by Memphis rapper Indo G, or Frayser Boy, Mike Jones and Paul Wall in “I Got Dat Drank” regarding the highly publicized mix of drugs such as syrup and codeine that produces a drink or rather a “drank” that gives drinkers a euphoric high. Well, where there’s doctors, there’s drugs, and recently, according to WREG Memphis, a federal drug raid happened at an Arkansas doctor’s office where federal drug agents believed the mix of drugs that make the “purple drank” or “sizzurp” or “purple hulk” were being supplied.

The West Memphis office of Dr. James Miller allegedly dealt with dozens of people a day coming to the office for that “drank”and this flooded local pharmacies with prescriptions which many started refusing to fill the orders from Dr. Miller.

Though the doctor is now under investigation there may have been no charges placed against him as of yet.
