Former Fox American Idol contestant Corey Clark, who made headlines back in 2003 for claiming to have had an affair with co-host Paul Abdul, was arrested at around 2:45 am in North Little Rock, Arkansas early Monday on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Police were dispatched after receiving a call for a suspicious vehicle sitting in the area.

When the police reportedly approached the vehicle, the 27 year-old Mount Juliet, TN resident (Clark) stepped out of the passenger side and the police proceeded to run a name check with the Arkansas Crime Information Center and the National Crime Information Center. The results of in the Crime Information Center revealed Clark had outstanding warrants in Arizona which led to his arrest.

Clark failed to appear in an Arizona court for a case stemming from an arrest which occurred on last year for violating a court order and trespassing.

Early this year, Clark was arrested and charged for aggravated harassment and interference with judicial proceedings. The bond was set at $25,000.

Corey Clark will be held in North Little Rock for up to 15 days while the extradition process is underway.
