Instagram Video Lands Rapper Kodak Black Back In Jail On Multiple Felony Charges

Florida rapper Kodak Black, real name Dieuson Octave, 20, is back in jail after authorities were led to an Instagram video where a guest at his Florida home live-streamed people in the home handling drugs and a gun around a baby.

Florida authorities arrested Kodak Black after discovering the Instagram video and then searching the rapper’s home with a search warrant. The rapper was reportedly on house arrest and felony probation.

Discovered at his Pembroke Pines home on Thursday were more drugs and weapons than what were seen in the live-streamed video.

This isn’t the first time that Octave (Kodak) has been in jail. The rapper was once accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a hotel room in Florence, South Carolina back in 2016.

The rapper has also been jailed multiple times over probation violations.

Kodak Black now faces several felony charges, 7 to be exact, that include grand theft of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a felon, marijuana possession, child neglect and more.

There has been no mention of how much time the rapper faces for his charges, however, according to Florida state statutes, possession of a firearm (alone) carries a penalty of up to 15 years probation or 15 years in prison.

Honestly I do not understand some rapper which life gave certain talent to improve their life in some case they waste it without realizing it. Maybe I’m wrong to judge the reasons behind the behavior of some people, but rappers exceed the percentage of people who go to jail for behavior considered allegedly anti social or criminal. Kodak Black may be a consequence of this anti-social behavior that surrounds the rap culture or on the contrary the rap culture promotes this behavior in those rappers who imitate the negative behavior of some famous rappers in which to go to prison they see it as a strategy to create promotion around their name. For some of them being recognized is what matters no matter how you get this recognition. I hope that Kodak Black will learn from his mistakes and this lesson will make him a better person, if all the accusations that the justice alleges ends up being true.
