RIP: Nicholas ‘Nick Scarfo’ Jackson of Prophet Posse, Three 6 Mafia Founder, Dead at 42

The Memphis hip hop community is grieving the loss of a Memphis rap icon, Nick Scarfo born Nicholas Jackson, 42, founder of Prophet Entertainment (aka Prophet Posse), the founding home of Three 6 Mafia, Killa Klan Kaze and Phatidef Music.

Nick Scarfo was the starting base of Three 6 Mafia (Triple 6 Mafia) when they started out as Backyard Posse and went on to become known as Three 6 Mafia under Prophet Entertainment founded by Nicko Scarfo along with DJ Paul and Juicy J.

Since Jackson's unfortunate passing, the hip hop community has been sharing their remorse all over social media.

Nick Scarfo according to a post on Instagram was preparing to re-introduce a new project to the City of Memphis.



It was back in 2007 when Nick Scarfo surfaced and announced in an interview at the 2007 Southern Entertainment Awards that Prophet Entertainment was returning with a new album featuring original Prophet Posse members simply called "The Return".

Since the news of Nick Scarfo's death many have been and continue to share posts of Nick Scarfo.

Ironically news of Nick Scarfo passing away came on the day of Gangsta Boo's birthday. Gangsta Boo known as the first lady of Three 6 Mafia shared her response over social media to the passing of Nick Scarfo.

    How did SCARFO past? It’s been over a year since he passed and I still ain’t heard how he passed. I was locked up with him twice in Nashville TN and dude was in great shape, worked out daily and was in dam good spirits about case and gave me so much game! When he seen me wlkn in dcso “jail” he moved the guys stuff that was bunked next ta him things and tld me “this is where you gonna be sleepin at nephew” he was like a big brother slash uncle ta me and I still don’t know any details about how he left this earth. Can sum1 tell me sumthn!?..
