The Memphis rap duo, 8Ball and MJG, are working on a new hip hop album which they recently spoke about in a new interview as well as other things including competing with Dr. Dre.

8Ball and MJG (Premro Smith and Marlon Jermaine Goodwin) are set to come out with a new album entitled “Time Is.”

The Memphis hip hop duo spoke with hip hop site HipHopDx about their new album as well as spoke about the hip hop game and a past competition with iconic music producer Dr. Dre.

It was 1995 when 8Ball & MJG’s “On Top of The World” came out, which was “neck and neck” with Dr. Dre as far as in the streets and the sound of the music, according to MJG.

MJG, in the interview, revealed that they were looking for number one but was instead placed in the number two position.

The legendary duo didn’t reveal that actual date of their new project “Time Is” but it is expected to be out soon.

Meanwhile, as far solo projects, MJG just recently released his solo album “Too Pimpin 2.0” this year.
