Yes, you heard it right; Drake’s dad is going to feature on his upcoming album’s bonus track. Set to drop on September 24th, the album reportedly features A$AP Rocky, Jay-Z, Frank Ocean, Lil Wayne, Justin Timberlake and Birdman. It’s also reported to include production from Swizz Beatz, Timbaland, Clams Casino, James Blake, 40, Mike Zombie and Boi-1da.

Drake’s relationship with his dad may have been turbulent in the past but it looks like the two have resolved their differences. Dennis Graham always wanted to be a famous singer and now his son has achieved this goal and is sharing a little bit of the limelight with him. Dennis was a drummer for Jerry Lee Lewis in his youth and always aspired to be a singer, yet somehow just missed the chance. Now he’s pretty much scored the musical equivalent of hitting a mobile slots jackpot and will be featured on Drake’s bonus track entitled ‘Heat of the Moment’. Drake recently stated that he’s living his dad’s dream and that having him feature on his forthcoming record seemed to reignite his dad’s passion for music. Reportedly after recording the track, all his dad wanted to do was head down to Beale Street in Memphis and play for the love of it again.

The 26 year old rapper admits that there have been dark times in his family’s past and his relationship with his dad hasn’t always been the best, but they have moved on and are in a really good space now. He has previously refused to answer questions about their relationship and painted a not so pretty picture of him in some of his songs, but all seems to be forgiven now. He does say that he hopes he will be a better dad to his own kids one day, but that he loves his dad very much and he often wonders if his drive to succeed would have been as strong if it wasn’t for his background.

Drake seems to be in a really good place at the moment, he’s about to drop a hit record, he features on the cover of Billboard Magazine’s upcoming issue and his relationship with his dad is the best it’s ever been.
