Pool Party Turns Deadly, Auburn Univ. Football Players Among 3 Dead In Shooting
On Saturday, several people were shot and at least 3 dead after a pool party turned deadly at the University Heights apartment complex in Alabama where several Auburn University students reside. According to reports, a fight broke out during a pool party after Turquorius Vines, 23, and his friend, who was killed, were approached by two men.
According to CBS, Vines stated two men whom he did not know started arguing with him and his friend over a woman and he punched one of the men. Vines’ friend reportedly hit one of the men over the head with a bottle. At this time, either one or both the men began shooting with guns and struck several innocent people with stray bullets.
Vines, who lost his friend over the incident, stated that he doesn’t know how he’s going to survive, since it feels like he lost a lung while referring to his close friend.
Of the reports circulating, at least two of the people killed are believed to have been college football players.
Meanwhile, police are not giving further details until a news conference which is scheduled for later Sunday, according to Auburn Police.
