Four Memphis Men, One Underage Teen Charged With Rape of Three Women + Assault

Four men and one underage teen in Memphis have been identified and charged on multiple counts as the assailants who robbed, assaulted and raped three women.

Antonio Howard, Brian Norwood, Devan Denton, Leon Denton all in the their 20's and underage teen James Kerrigan, who is only 16 years old reportedly met three women at a club who made the mistake of inviting the 5 males over to the apartment belonging to one of the women.

The women were robbed, one woman was severely beaten to the point of unconsciousness, while a another woman was forced to perform sex acts on three of the male attackers at gun point.



All of the assailants, which included an uncle, a cousin, and a set of brothers, have been charged with aggravated rape (three counts each), aggravated robbery (one count each), aggravated robbery (two counts each) and aggravated assault (three counts each), for their crimes, which were reported on October 16, 2011 at an apartment in the 3000 block of Mt. Moriah Trails in Memphis, according to WREG.

The assailants all had bonds set - Brian Norwood ($75,000), Antonio Howard ($2,000,000), Devan Denton ($1,000,000), Leon Denton  ($1,000,000), and James Kerrigan ($50,000)

Two of the assailants, Leon Denton and James Kerrigan, have a court date set for a motion to dismiss prosecution, according to court records.

No details were provided as to whether the underage teen, Kerrigan, 16 will be tried as a juvenile or an adult.
