Memphis actress, singer Lucy Hale joins Tinker Bell as Periwinkle

Actress and singer Lucy Hale, 22, a Memphis native most known from American Juniors, Bionic Woman, Scream 4, ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars and other television shows and movies lent her voice for the upcoming Disney animation movie "Secret of Wings" as Tinker Bell's fairy friend Periwinkle which releases October 23, 2012.

The Disney Fairies franchise based film "Secret of the Wings" which is a part of the Tinker Bell Disney Fairies film franchise comes behind the "Pixie Hollow Games" which was released in November of 2011. In this adaptation of the "Never Fairies" Tinker Bell (Mae Whitman) meets a winter fairy Periwinkle (Lucy Hale) and ventures off into the forbidden Winter Woods. Periwinkle joins Tinker Bell and her friends on magical adventure to find what is called the "secret of fairy wings."

The Peggy Holmes directed and Sean Lurie produced "Secret of the Wings" features voiceovers by Lucy Liu, Raven-Symoné, Megan Hilty, Angela Bartys, Jesse McCartney, Pamela Adlon, Jeff Bennett, Rob Paulsen, Matt Lanter, Timothy Dalton, Anjelica Huston, Jane Horrocks and music by Joel McNeely.

In other news, Lucy Hale, recently appeared at the ABC Family Upfront Presentation at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in New York City where ABC unveils the programming and development for the season and chatted with Good Morning America's Lara Spencer on the finale of Pretty Little Liars which took place on Monday.

Mass news reports are coming across the wire that say North Korean leader Kim Jong Un ordered the public execution of his former lover, singer Hyon Song-wol and 11 other entertainers after she and they made a sex tape video together and possessed a bible.
