Three 6 Mafia’s Juicy J, Now With Wiz Khalifa’s “Taylor Gang,” Preps Stay Trippy Release

Published

on

In a sit-down interview, rap artist Juicy J of Three 6 Mafia, whose group will be one of the headline artists at the Memphis In May Beale St Festival, as covered on MemphisRap.com, spoke about being a realistic person and not caring what a person says about him because at the end of the day 'you are you.'

In addition to being himself and not a character, Juicy J explained, in his interview with GlobalGrind, the meaning of trippy.

"... being stressfree, happy, comfortable where you at..."

After talking about the meaning of trippy, Juicy J went on to talk about young artists and considering himself as not only a businessman and a rapper, but also a coach who gives advice.

"The ends, the outs, the b*llsh*t, whatever, I know it all. At the end of the day I want these new up and comers to know that Juicy J is working," Juicy J added.

Juicy J, who grew up in North Memphis such as the high school students featured in the documentary "Undefeated" which recently won an Oscar for "Best Documentary," can relate to not having nothing and how hard work can pay off.

"I understand what it feels like to have nothing, cause I came from nothing! ... it was like six people living in a 2 bedroom apartment... came from nothing to something. Definitely a grind. There was a lot of praying, struggling, hustling, a lot of patience. You got to have patience in this game," Juicy J wants artists who wish to be in his place to know.

Meanwhile, as Juicy J (who signed on as a member of Wiz Khalifa's Taylor Gang imprint, as reported on MemphisRap.com) is talking about being trippy, the rapper is also prepping the release of his third solo album "Stay Trippy." "Stay Trippy" follows behind his 2009 album "Hustle Till I Die" and his first solo album "Chronicles of the Juice Man" released in 2002.

In other news, Juicy J along with his music partner DJ Paul, partnered with Serious Pimp Clothing to launch a new custom clothing apparel line back in January, as reported here on MemphisRap.com.

Serious Pimp Clothing is lead by hip-hop artist Snoop Dogg, who's the president of the company, along with Bishop Don “Magic” Juan, chairman of the board. The Serious Pimp Clothing will feature a line of hats, T-shirts and sunglasses, with a "southern flair," in collaboration with the academy-award winning Memphis rap group Three 6 Mafia (Juicy J and DJ Paul).
