Bracketology: The NCAA Tournament

Wowzer, the time of year has started again…. March madness. There were so many upsets in men’s college basketball yesterday for the first day of the tournament that it made history. Yesterday marked the most 1pt victories ever. Pretty much everyone took a big hit in their bracket pickings. A record of 6 teams, ranked in the double digits, pulled upsets. The likes of Vandy, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Texas, and Marquette went down. A couple of close calls were made for Villanova and Tennesse, but they got the ‘unpretty’ win.

We were all surprised at how some of the lower ranked seeds came in and took over in the lateness of all these games. That proves that any team in any given game has a great chance of winning. All of these wins were won by 1 to 2pts except the Georgetown upset that was a 14pt deficit. The world is in for more NCAA brackets as we continue to eliminate teams until the champions stand alone. Yesterday was so exciting I wonder what is going to happen next?
