Three 6 Mafia’s ‘Last 2 Walk’ Hits #5 On Billboard’s Top 200


Academy Award winning Memphis rap duo Three 6 Mafia’s latest project “Last 2 Walk” hits number 5 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.

Academy Award winning Memphis rap duo Three 6 Mafia’s latest project “Last 2 Walk,” which its title derives from the last two members DJ Paul and Juicy J, hits number 5 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The new project which released on June 24, 2008 pulled in a first week sales of over 75,000, just 25,000 shy of 100K. The album “Last 2 Walk” also managed to debut at #2 on Soundscan’s R&B album and Rap album chart while managing to make it to number 8 on the Billboard Top Digital albums chart.

With the first single “Lolli Lolli (Pop That Body)” grabbing an ample amount on spins on radio, the song hit the number 1 hip-hop song position relieving at number 20. On the Billboard Rap chart the song hit number 5 making it Three 6 Mafia’s top 5 rap track and it’s latest since the release of “Stay Fly” in 2005. The single has reportedly sold over 300,000 while maintaining a position on the number 4 Top 40 Rhythm Monitor chart and number 25 on the Urban Mainstream Monitor.

In other news, Three 6 Mafia appeared on MTV’s “TRL” and performed their hit single “Lolli Lolli (Pop That Body)”. On July 8, 2008, the premier of the video “Lolli Lolli” video will be airing on Rap City.

The album “Last 2 Walk” is the first new full-length album for Three 6 Mafia since 2006.
