Teen Decapitated by Six Flags Batman Ride After Trying To Get Lost Hat


A 17 year-old teen boy was decapitated by a roller coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia after allegedly jumping a fence into a restricted area trying to retrieve a lost hat.

A 17 year-old teen from Columbia, SC was decapitated at the Six Flags theme park outside of Altanta, GA after jumping fences inside of a restricted zone under the Batman roller coaster ride on Saturday. The teen jumped two six-feet fences to access the restricted area in which witnesses state that he was trying to retrieve a hat that he lost after riding the Batman ride at Six Flags Over Georgia.

Spokeswoman Hela Sheth said in a news release that the restricted area was off-limits and dangerous to visitors.

Currently the ride has been closed since the accident reportedly inorder to show respect for the family of the teen, but is expected to be back in full effect on Sunday.

The 17 year-old teen was visiting Six Flags with his parents and Oakey Spring Baptist Church in South Carolina. The name of the victim will not be made public until after the autopsy.
