Prostitution Ring ‘Busted’ On Craigslist

Memphis deputies have arrested four suspects for prostitution and promoting prostitution on the popular classifieds site Craigslist.

Where there’s classified listings, there could be solicitation for services and not the type of services you would think.

Just when they thought they were getting away with promoting prostitution online, the Shelby County Sheriff locked them down on Thursday. Recently two women along with Cynthia Ehrlich and Leroy Williams were arrested for prostitution and promoting prostitution on the famed popular classifieds site Craigslist. Cynthia Ehrlich and Leroy Williams were running an escort service from their home at the 6900 block of Tulip Trail Drive near Whitten and I-40 between Cordova and Bartlett.

Reportedly deputies came across the ad for the escort service on Craigslist, and in order to bring the illegal services down they called the number listed and arranged a meeting with two women at a motel in East Memphis who believed they would perform sexual acts at the rate of $250. Upon arrival the two women were arrested along with their driver, Cynthia Ehrlich, 44.

After taking the three into custody, deputies were given the address to the Tulip Trail location where drugs, stacks of condoms, measuring scales, bags of cocaine, a massage table and a computer listing customer appointments were found.

Leroy Williams, 47, who is a resident at the home with Cynthia Ehrlich, was also arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, tampering with evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia and promoting prostitution. Currently both Ehrlich and Williams are out of jail after making bond. The other two women were expected to be charged for prostitution.
