Singer Ronald Isley To Report To Jail For Non-Payment Of Taxes

On July 25, 2007, Def Jam made an announcement asking those to lend their support to get Ronald Isley a Presidential Pardon by emailing, faxing and calling the White House.

The legendary Ronald Isley of The Isley Brothers, whose music career has spanned over 50 years, is expected to serve time come August 7, 2007 for non-payment of taxes for more than 20 years. In 2006, the singer was ordered to pay $3.1 million in back taxes to the IRS.

On July 25, 2007, Def Jam made an announcement asking those to lend their support to get Ronald Isley a Presidential Pardon by emailing, faxing and calling the White House.

The singer is expected to serve a 3 year sentence instead of the maximum sentence of 26 years.

For more than a decade Ronald Isley has became the most sought-after vocalist and used samples for hip-hop artists. He has worked with artists such as Nas, UGK, Ja Rule, Jay-Z and R. Kelly.
