Gay DJ tells P. Diddy to stop using his Diddy

Last year hip-hop mogul and celebrity P. Diddy ended in court for the use of name “Diddy” which belongs to UK Gay producer and DJ, Richard Dearlove, 41. The music star settled with Dearlove for a small amount, and agreed to never call himself “Diddy” in the UK as a part of the settlement. Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, 37, on yesterday was back in court in London.

Combs was found to have been using the name on several websites, but changed a few of them except “MySpace” and YouTube” and maybe a few others so that the name “Diddy” did not appear in Britain.

Iain Purvic, QC who is acting for Richard Dearlove stated that Puffy Daddy and Puffy had changed his name several times and is known as Diddy in the United States, but it is now up to Sean “P. Diddy” Combs to make sure it is complied with.
