Lou Rawls, Jr. Files Charges Against Marvin Gaye, III

Lou Rawls, Jr. is suing Marvin Gaye, III after being attacked by four large dogs which was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

Lou Rawls, Jr. is suing Marvin Gaye, III after being attacked by four large dogs which was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Both plaintiff and defendant are sons of the legendary singers Lou Rawls, Sr and Marvin Gaye. The suit was filed December 29, 2006.

According to the lawsuit, the Plaintiff Lou Rawls, Jr. was visiting Marvin Gaye’s property at the time of the alleged attack on or about January 25, 2006. Rawls claims the dogs “bit, clawed and physically and mentally injured” him, causing him to suffer “loss of blood, tearing of flesh, multiple dog bite wounds, fear of disease” and other injuries, according to court documents. The dogs was stated to have roamed the premises freely inside of a gated residential community located in Hollywood, CA. He is seeking unspecified damages.

Marvin Gaye, III is the adopted son of Marvin and his first wife Anna Gaye who was born in 1965. He is a record producer who controls his late father’s estate.

Lou Jr is one of Lou Rawls four children. Lou Rawls had three children with his first wife Lana including Lou Jr’s two sisters Louanna and Kendra. Lou Rawls is also stated to have had a son in 2005 with his second wife Nina.
