Well, over the Christmas holidays, it has been stated that Nelly popped the question Christmas Eve according to a close friend of the family.

Sources stated that Christmas wasn’t nothing new for Nelly since this was a tradition he has done for the past few years. The hip-hop rapper was stated to have gotten on one knee after everyone had exchanged gifts and proceeded with his proposal to Ashanti.

To confirm the allegation, Ashanti’s business management company was contacted but was not available at the time.

The couple has been stated to have been dating since 2003.

Most recently, Ashanti had to cancel a performance for a concert in South Africa after her cousin was killed by a 17-year-old drunk driver.
