Music Business Boot Camp: Because the Rules Have Changed

To make it in the music industry you will need to have more than just musical talents. You must understand how the business side operates to get your career on the correct path. More times than not artists get a bad start to their careers because they have bad management, it is great if you have the business knowledge along with the musical talent but it seldom happens like that. That makes it even more important to have a good businessperson representing you and your career. That is what the Music Business Boot Camp is about, preparing music lovers for the business operations of the music industry.

The Music Business Boot Camp is a four-day event, which will be from June 15-18 in Nashville, TN at Tennessee State University Performing Arts Center. The cost of the event for the four days will be $140, but there are some discounts given to certain individuals. Some of the seminars will be on A & R, recording artist contracts, record company operations, marketing and distribution, radio, and the list goes on. There will be events covering all the areas in the music business industry. Attending the boot will be Mark East CEO of Active Entertainment, Paul Hart of Sony/ATV Music, Thomas Cain of BMI, Pam Browne Entertainment Attorney, and many more music executives.

The music industry is one that is thought to be all fun and games, people tend to over look the fact that it is a business and that it should be ran as such. The Music Business Boot Camp has realized that and is trying to put that message out there to the public. This will be an event that can make or break an artist career and will be attended by up and coming artists in the southeastern region of the United States.
