The multi-platinum selling Houston rapper Mike Jones has reportedly started production on a film entitled American Dream

The multi-platinum selling Houston rapper Mike Jones has reportedly started production on a film entitled American Dream, his debut project, which is co-executive produced by Asylum Records and Warner Bros. Records. American Dream is also the name of Mike Jones’ sophomore CD, and the name of his newly created film production company.

American Dream, the movie, will chronicle Mike’s real life rise to fame as an aspiring rapper from the streets who finds his path in life through music.

Filming was reported to have started, in Mike Jones’ hometown of Texas, August 28th and will continue on thru September 15th.

Mike Jones has enlisted a stellar cast including Producer Gregory Anderson who is best known for the independently produced Trios (Rain Forest Films), Producer Keith Paschall (videos for Britney Spears and Celine Dion), and Industry Indie staple Derrick Dixon as Director (noted for The Dirty Third).

Mike Jones’ American Dream CD is expected to release this Winter 2006.
